Elsholtzia pilosa (Benth.) Benth. ?? Attachments (2) – 1 & 2 mb. Attachments (1) – 7 mb.
I am having difficulty. I guess elevation and the phenology is matching and descriptions as well. Rather appears more closer to Elsholtzia strobilifera (Benth.) Benth. than Elsholtzia pilosa (Benth.) Benth. as per comparative images at Elsholtzia This looks different from other images at Elsholtzia strobilifera and as per FoC illustration.
It appears somewhat close to E. pilosa as per FoC illustration and GBIF, but I am not convinced as bracts are not linear.
Pl. check other species in Checklist of Nepal. Thank you … I had suggested earlier accordingly! This most probably Elsholtzia ciliata (=E. cristata) I guess it could not be Elsholtzia ciliata since inflorescence shape is different.
Thanks …, in that case it could be some Endemic species of Elsholtzia described from Nepal in 1950s, I’m not able to recollect the name! E.concinna?
Thank you …,
Elsholtzia concinna is a high altitude plant.
