Please help for this ID. Date of collection: April, 2006. Place: Tipi, Arunachal Pradesh

I dare to tell you it is Agapetes bhutanica N.P.Balakr. & S.C.Chowdhury. I think if you contact …

The forwarded picture is Agapetes odontocera (Wight) Hook.f. var. odontocera. It changes colour and habitat and sometimes even length of corolla with altitude and from scarlet red to pink. Whereas, Agapetes bhutanica N.P.Balakr. & S.C.Chowdhury is having uniformly hirsute-glandular hairs on calyx and corolla. Hope this will clear the confusion.

Thanks so much … for this ID.
