Saw this vegetable in the market during April.

Name given by the vendor was Madrasi Potato, similar to Arvi.
White from inside.
Would like to know the id please.


Seems to be Coleus parviflorus.  Family Lamiaceae.
Known as Koorka kizhangu (കൂര്‍ക്ക കിഴങ്ങ്) in Malayalam.
Edible and has a characteristic aroma and flavour.


Yes. c.parviflorus is used. c.forskohlii in maharastra is used for pickling
