¿ Alysicarpus ?
Dear friends, please help with ID.
I find … suggestion (in facebook) of Alysicarpus a very good possibility. This plant is a small bushy shrub about 6 feet high; the flowers measure about 20 mm across. The place is Gudampara near Chinnakanal, Munnar, elevation about 1500m asl. It will be Desmodium species
It appears to me it is a Desmodium species
This one is not Alysicarpus Neck ex Desv., But it is Desmodium Desv. and precisely Desmodium ferrugenium Wall. ex Thw.
See my publication entitled as ” Notes on the status of Desmodium wynaadense Bedd. ex Gamble” published in Rheedea.” It is Desmodium ferrugineum Wall. ex Thw. ssp. ferrugineum (Syn: Desmodium polycarpum (Poir. ) DC. var. fischeri Gamble= D.rufescens sensu Wight & Arn. non DC.)
