ANNOV38 Please identify this Alysicarpus sp. : 6 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (4).
Bangalore outskirts

The fruit seems the match Alysicarpus hamosus but the leaf shape and lack of stem covered by bristles is not matching.

Alysicarpus species in eFloraofindia (with details/ keys from published papers/ regional floras/ FRLHT/ FOI/ Biotik/ efloras/ books etc., where ever available)

Erect, leaves linear, standard faint pink, sometimes yellow, pods distantly paired, this belong to Alysicarpus bupleurifolius.

It looks Alysicarpus bupleurifolius var. gracilis (Edgew.) Baker –as the leaves are linear, oblong, glabrous acute. flower yellow with pink tinge, pod smooth.

Want to share an observation:
Last October I saw this plant species where the upper (younger) leaves were linear-oblong whereas the lower (older) were ovate (L:B ratio was much lower) on the same plant.
Comments welcome.

Alysicarpus bupleurifolius or not ? : 7 posts by 2 authors. 1 image.

need your help for identification of Alysicarpus bupleurifolius. I am bit confused with its variety. Whether it’s var. gracilis (Edgew.) Baker. Or not. Or its A.bupleurifolius only.

I guess Alysicarpus bupleurifolius is the correct ID !

Thanks sir, 24.09.2020, chalisgaon, MS. Was seen growing in grassland. Yes its A. Bupleurifolius, want to know if any variety or not. Thanks once again.

Does not look like subsp. or var!

It looks like Alysicarpus bupleurifolius var. gracilis as per images and details herein.
