Acanthus species, possibly A. montanus.


Yes it is Acanthus montanus (Nees) T.And., native of Africa and Mediterranean regions and introduced into many Asian countries. It is ornamental and also has several medicinal properties.

Can it be Acanthus spinosus posted by … (with images) ?


Plant appears to be a shrub, A. ilicifolius more likely


Inflorescence looks much different from Acanthus ilicifolius L.

It is closer to images at Acanthus spinosus
