Greetings from the organisers of Indian Biodiversity Congress!!!
It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), Thiruvananthapuram, in association with Pondicherry University, Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Puducherry, Forests & Wild Life Department, Government of Puducherry, Navdanya, New Delhi, Pondicherry Science Forum, Puducherry and various Governmental and Non Governmental organisations, is organizing Fourth Indian Biodiversity Congress (IBC 2017) during 10-12 March 2017 at Pondicherry University Convention Centre, Puducherry.
Indian Biodiversity Congress (IBC) is the largest biennial get together of scientists, conservationists, environmentalists, civil society groups and local communities in India to review the status, trends, challenges and opportunities for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. IBC 2017 consists of a National Seminar, Biodiversity Expo, Civil Society Meet, Children’s Conclave on Biodiversity, National Photography Competition and Documentary Film festival. The Congress includes keynote address, plenary lectures and oral/poster presentations. The focal theme of 4th Indian Biodiversity Congress (IBC 2017) is “Climate Change and Biodiversity” with 12 other subthemes. The focal theme will have only invited presentations and panel discussion by experts. Papers can be submitted for all the other themes.
