Perhaps Ficus subincisa as per Indian Flora message and post by
Second report on our Forum.

Seems to be Ficus subincisia

Please have re-look at my plant keeping in mind slender branches. … has suggested it as F. sarmentosa and he may be right. Please compare with upload by … with thicker branches and broader leaves. That may be F. subincisa as suggested by … efi thread.

I think it should be Ficus gasparriniana var. laceratifolia as per discussions at Ficus sarmentosa Buch.

Please have a look at
https://www.flowersofindia.net/Nepal%20Fig.html

it can’t be  Ficus gasparriniana var. laceratifolia in which leaves are broadly obovate and toothed at top. Its new name is F. bhotanica according to KEW database and image by …

I still go with F. sarmentosa
http://www.efloras.org/object_page.aspx?object_id=50280&flora_id=2

Thanks … for pointing this out. According to POWO Ficus gasparriniana var. laceratifolia is a synonym of Ficus bhotanica, which is a native of East Himalaya, not even Nepal. And Gurucharan ji found his plant in Uttarakhand, which doesn’t quite agree with the distribution of Ficus gasparriniana var. laceratifolia.

All posts of https://efloraofindia.com/2017/10/16/ficus-gasparriniana-var-laceratifolia/ need to be sorted out !

After checking the GBIF specimens, I think it is Ficus gasparriniana var. laceratifolia (GBIF specimens (one) only.
Pl. also see the GBIF specimens (one) of Ficus sarmentosa.

So much confusion !

Ficus subincisa Buch.-Ham. ex Sm. to me.
Common at this altitude and a good fodder plant.
New to efi

It seems F. sarmentosa for me, if different from sarmentosa then how? Please check, just clearing my doubt.

Are some leaves different ??

The photographs are temporarly identified as Ficus sarmentosa Buch.-Ham. ex.  Sm.

Leaves have no entire margins, and are irregularly toothed near apex.
This should be a variety lacertifolia {var.} of Ficus gasparriniana.

Thank you.
Is it Ficus gasparriniana var. laceratifolia (H.Lév. & Vaniot) Corner ??
But I could not find listing in Nepal.

I guess posts no.2, 3, 4, 5, 6 should be Ficus sarmentosa Buch., is it ?

Pl. forward the posts with images so that there is no ambiguity in discussion.

I have gone as per the feedback and views in the individual posts.

OK … I agree. So far this sp. has got no distribution in Nepal.

I guess it is time to rename this sp. as  Ficus bhotanica King (Synonym: Ficus gasparriniana var. laceratifolia (H.Lév. & Vaniot) Corner)
Please refer to all F. sarmentosa links in the efi.

Ficus sarmentosa:
I guess the image given under the ID Ficus sarmentosa is not correct.

It rather looks like Ficus bhotanica King (Synonym: Ficus gasparriniana var. laceratifolia (H.Lév. & Vaniot) Corner). May I have your opinion on this  please ?

Thanks for sharing this article, I have gone through this publication and for the sake of registering a publication under respective author either for submitting for MSc or PhD. Without any copyright permissions they had used plant photos from internet as well as efloraofindia website (e.g. Ficus talbotii image shared by me on efloraindia) and questions should be raised and need to send a notice to authors. There are many mistakes in this article, used wrong photographs as well as wrong scientific names. Such articles do not have any pre-review value but damage actual works of scientific community.
I’ll send them a notice for this. Thanks again for sharing this.

Even my images were used without permission on 2 cases, one Impatiens bicornuta and another, Didymocarpus aromaticus.

Ficus sarmentosa:
Images of Ficus sarmentosa are still wrong in FoI and google ?
Please have a look.
