This does look like Goodyera schlechtendaliana, but again I need to see the flowers to confirm.

Yeah …! A long wait for the flower. I am not sure if I can make it again. Very tough climb for me.
Yes this must be above 1500m or more. Goes up to 2500m

Can’t confirm without flowers unless the photographer has already seen plants before.

From the same spot earlier. There are 3 more flower images in the mail.

I just confirmed with my friend who is a top expert on Goodyera in the world, she says yes this is Goodyera schlechtendaliana.

VOF..Goodyera repens:
Beautiful orchid Goodyera repens frm VOF

I am a bit confused but this could be Goodyera schlechtendaliana.
I am sure this is the same plant I photographed during my visit to VoF.
Need to check.

Saw this small orchid en route VOF from Ghangaria, Uttarakhand in Aug 2018.
This was growing very close to Androcorys josephii posted by me here.
Requested to kindly provide ID.

The point where you saw this you could have also seen, Calanthe triplicata, Listera teunis, Cephalanthera longifolia etc.

Thanks … for validating.. This particular area was very rich w.r.t. diversity. I tried hard to find any more orchids but 🙁
I think we went too late in the season – last week of August, hence could not find any more specimens.

small bell shaped drooping flowers of this orchid are reminiscent of the drooping bells of lily of the valley. but this is an orchid.

I am thinking this is Goodyera schlecchtendaliana. But cant confirm right now.

Possible. But can’t confirm with those flowers. Leaves do look like Goodyera schlechtendaliana.

To me leaves looks similar to the images at Goodyera schlechtendaliana
