Please identify this shrub from Kannur District of Kerala… Riparian in nature and collected in December….

It is Syzygium caryophyllatum.

Does not matches with images at Syzygium caryophyllatum (L.) Alston

Syzygium heyneanum

This material is not Syzygium caryophyllatum.

I think it is a Ixora sp.

Ixora brachiata Roxb. ??
