There seems to be some confusion w.r.t. the author citation as below:

There is no mention of Mussaenda pubescens W. T. Aiton in either the The Plant List, WCSP or Catalogue of Life.
However, synonyms given in Flora of China (Mussaenda pubescens W. T. Aiton) are the same as in Catalogue of Life (Mussaenda pubescens Dryand.), The Plant List Ver.1.1 (Mussaenda pubescens Dryand.) & WCSP (Mussaenda pubescens Dryand.)
To further compound the problem, images in Hong Kong Herbarium-HK Plant Database (Mussaenda pubescens W. T. Aiton) match with the posted plant as in Encyclopedia of Life (Mussaenda pubescens Dryand.) and GBIF (Mussaenda pubescens Dryand.) also. But illustration given in Flora of China (Mussaenda pubescens W. T. Aiton) appears different.
The name Mussaenda pubescens W. T. Aiton should be correct which is same as Mussaenda pubescens Ait.f. because they follow it on IPNI. Thanks, … WCSP says Mussaenda pubescens Dryand. in W.T.Aiton, Hortus Kew. 1: 372 (1810).

Last two images may be of something else. OK. It could be. It was together so I thought of the same plant.
