I think this is Strobilanthes cruciata (Bremek.) Terao.

I don’t have a specimen at hand to compare but the inflorescence looks right.

Is … making herbarium specimens? If so, it would be goods to see images of specimens of some of these rarer species.

Same Strobilanthes sp. attached herwith to help id.

Nothing for the moment. I am still puzzled by this plant. There is something of Strobilanthes cruciata but the corolla is clearly pubescent, which is wrong. If I get a good idea I will contact you. No chance of more photographs or photographs of a specimen showing the whole inflorescence?

As I said earlier, I am puzzled by this plant. It looks like Strobilanthes cruciata but the corolla is pubescent which is wrong for Strobilanthes cruciata but I can’t see detail very clearly.

I think more photographs and preferably specimens are needed to be certain what this is – it may be a new species – there a lot of local, endemic species of Strobilanthes in NE India, Are there are any location details or notes on flowering time, altitude etc?
