I think this is Strobilanthes cruciata (Bremek.) Terao.

I don’t have a specimen at hand to compare but the inflorescence looks right.

Is … making herbarium specimens? If so, it would be goods to see images of specimens of some of these rarer species.

Nothing for the moment. I am still puzzled by this plant. There is something of Strobilanthes cruciata but the corolla is clearly pubescent, which is wrong. If I get a good idea I will contact you. No chance of more photographs or photographs of a specimen showing the whole inflorescence?


As I said earlier, I am puzzled by this plant. It looks like Strobilanthes cruciata but the corolla is pubescent which is wrong for Strobilanthes cruciata but I can’t see detail very clearly.

I think more photographs and preferably specimens are needed to be certain what this is – it may be a new species – there a lot of local, endemic species of Strobilanthes in NE India, Are there are any location details or notes on flowering time, altitude etc?
