Please help me in identifying the plant images attached herewith.
Habit: Herb with woody base. Procumbent
Leaves: Opposite, lanceolate, acute, 15mm x 4mm minutely mucronate, in whorl with opposite spines. Spines pointed.
Flowers: Solitary, calyx 5 lobes, corolla : pink
Fruits: Deeply 5 lobed
Place: Sangamner Maharashtra
Date: 26th July 2015

Yes, its Fagonia (schweinfurthii ???)


Should be Fagonia schweinfurthii, as most leaves are trifoliate, spines shorter.

But if you have the another photos with clear view of leaves, please post.


Thanx … A typical dry region plant. But, sorry ! I don’t have any other photos. I think, even this photo is little overexposed.
