I thought you might be interested in this and perhaps also consider submitting an abstract for a presentation on your pioneering work with efloraofindia in motivating so many people to contribute towards creating a comprehensive database of plants of India.
Kindly note that the abstract submission deadline is today, Monday, 31 August. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Join us online for the first ever national conference on Citizen Science for Biodiversity: CitSci India 2020. This conference is being conducted in the run-up to the forthcoming National Mission on Biodiversity and Human Well-being (NMBHWB), catalyzed and supported by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
Registrations are free but due to limited slots, you must first apply to register to attend the conference. Those working in citizen science approaches in biodiversity are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations.

Welcome to CitSci India 2023!

We’re excited to announce that CitSci 2023 is back! Last year we hosted the 3rd Citizen Science for Biodiversity Conference: CitSci India 2022- thank you so much for being a part of it! This year we are back again with CitSci India 2023, a 2-day virtual conference from 1st – 2nd Dec 2023, between 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

We would like to invite you to join us again on Discord to discuss various themes related to citizen science for biodiversity in a series of invited talks, panel discussions, and poster presentations. Please apply to register here: citsci-india.org/registration/

This year, the themes for the 2-day conference are ‘Education and Citizen Science’ and ‘Inclusion in Citizen Science’. We invite you to submit abstracts for posters on these two themes. You may of course also submit abstracts on the following topics:

  • Citizen science projects: design, execution and outcomes.

  • Citizen science – theory and practice.

  • Legal and ethical issues in citizen science – data ownership and privacy.

  • Technology-mediated citizen science.

  • Policy perspectives and citizen science.

  • Citizen-initiated/led science projects

  • Diversity and inclusion in citizen science

  • Citizen Science and Data

  • Citizen Science and Education
