Oldenlandia/ Borreria SN 910121: 2 images.
Wild herb from Orissa Sal forest.

Oldenlandia pinifolia

Spermacoce pusilla Wall. (= Borreria pusilla (Wall.) DC.)

I agree with …

Oh my god, No way …, it’s not Spermacoce pusilla,
It’s Oldenlandia only because Spermacoce pusilla have much flowered sessile clusters at axillary and terminal,
In this, there is clear pedicellated 1 or 2 flowers at node,

OK … ! I thought it has got no distribution in Orissa !

7 April 2019/NSD-1 Herb for ID : 6 posts by 4 authors. 1 high res. image.

Please ID this small herb…
Umariya, M.P. Sept 2017

its not in focus. i could not discern the features of the flowers. do you have a better focus photo?

Hedyotis cynantha

To me looks different from images at Hedyotis cyanantha

Pl. check with other species at Hedyotis & Oldenlandia

I think it should be Scleromitrion verticillatum (L.) R.J.Wang (syn: Hedyotis verticillata (L.) Lam.) as per differences between closely related species at
GBIF (high resolution specimens) FOC illustration  Flora of China

I guess it is different.

Pl. see variations at GBIF (high resolution specimens)

Scleromitrion tenelliflorum (Blume) Korth. ??
740 × 570

Calyx is densely hispidulous in Scleromitrion verticillatum (L.) R.J.Wang (syn: Hedyotis verticillata (L.) Lam.) and glabrous in Scleromitrion tenelliflorum (Blume) Korth. as per Scleromitrion sirayanum (Rubiaceae: Spermacoceae), a new species of the Hedyotis-Oldenlandia complex in Taiwan– Tian-Chuan HSU, and Zhi-Hao CHEN- Taiwania 62(2): 151‒156, 2017
So it is Scleromitrion verticillatum (L.) R.J.Wang (syn: Hedyotis verticillata (L.) Lam.) only.

This is Scleromitrion pinifolium, as per images and details herein.

Yes, it’s …, I too agree with you and collected earlier as Oldenlandia pinifolia,

Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type- WESTERN GHAT, HIGH ELEVATION GRASSLAND
Plant Habit- Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb- SMALL HERB,

– Surely not Swertia.. There are stipules present, Probably some Rubiaceae, plant looks like Diodella teres (Walter) Small, Fl. Lancaster Co.: 271 (1913).

– Surely Rubiaceae. Not familiar with Diodella, I was thinking of Oldenlandia

Scleromitrion pinifolium (Wall. ex G.Don) R.J.Wang Syn : Hedyotis pinifolia Wall. ex G.Don
