Pittosporum wightii A.K.Mukh.  Syn : Pittosporum floribundum Wight & Arn ???

Yes, it appears so.
Taxonomy seems confusing.
However, FoPI keeps it separate as Pittosporum floribundum Wight & Arn. with a footnote regarding P.napaulense (in the book link).
POWO gives Pittosporum floribundum Wight & Arn. as a syn. of Pittosporum densiflorum Putt.
In eFloras, distribution is mainly given in the Himalayas for Pittosporum napaulense (de Candolle) Rehder & E. H. Wilson.
In view, I will change our South Indian observations at https://efloraofindia.com/2012/08/14/pittosporum-napaulense/ to Pittosporum densiflorum Putt.

Manilkara roxburghiana? : 6 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (4)- 1 mb each.
Found in Yelagiri hills of Eastern ghats.
Looks like the recent M roxburghiana from Jawadhu hills posted by me…

I guess it is not matching

Thanks, … If so, pl. check other species at /species/m—z/s/sapotaceae/manilkara

To me also look different from images at Manilkara roxburghiana

Sorry to say, this is not Manilkara roxburghiana, and is probably not Sapotaceae. (It’s difficult to see the flower structure and the leaf arrangement in the pictures to say for certain which family this is… but it does not look like Sapotaceae.)

it is Pittosporum napaulense (DC.) Rehder & Wilson

Taking it as Pittosporum densiflorum Putt. as per discussions at Regarding identification of the Sp. collected from Kandhamal Odisha on July 2023

it looks like Pittosporum nepaulens only

Taxonomy of Pittosporum wightii A.K.Mukh./ Pittosporum floribundum Wight & Arn. seems confusing.

We have kept it at https://efloraofindia.com/2012/08/14/pittosporum-napaulense/ (till the other day).
However, FoPI keeps it separate as Pittosporum floribundum Wight & Arn. with a footnote regarding P.napaulense (in the book link).

Thank you , I will make corrections in my collection.

Small evergreen tree for identification 130413MK02 : Attachments (4). 4 posts by 3 authors.
Please help me in identifying this short tree found on the way to Megamalai of Western Ghats region.
Leaf: up to 10 cm long
Fruits: 0.5 cm across
Place: Megamalai, Theni dist., TN
Alt.: c. 700 m asl
Date: 16 Dec 2012

Seems to be Pittosporum sp. of Pittosporaceae? Does it have pugent smell in their leaves?

Could this be Pittosporum dasycaulon?

I feel it may be more close to Pittosporum napaulense as per images and details herein.
Pl. confirm or otherwise.

It is also reported from Theni district as per details at Pittosporum

Pittosporum dasycaulon, to me too.

Thanks …, I am not familiar with Pittosporum napaulense. Hope we get validating comments.

Inflorescence looks different.

Pl. see details at Pittosporum napaulense (DC.) Rehder & E.H. Wilson

Yes, you are right … This must be Pittosporum napaulense… the fruits are on branched inflorescence. I was wrong in this post earlier.

Taking it as Pittosporum densiflorum Putt. as per discussions at Regarding identification of the Sp. collected from Kandhamal Odisha on July 2023
