¿ Ligustrum perrottetii ?
Dear friends, please validate the ID.

Nice photos of L. perrottettii

Thank you very very much … for validating the ID.

I think it may be Ligustrum gamblei Ramamoorthy due to leaf size, shape and apex as per differences given in their descriptions at Biotik 1 (Ligustrum gamblei Ramamoorthy) and Biotik 2 (Ligustrum perrottetii A. DC).

I think you must be correct. I checked the leaves’ venation, and I found it matches more to gamblei than to perrottetii

I am copying this response to Radha for her thoughts, so that the ID gets resolved for sure.

This is very interesting. I was not aware of the specific differences between the two species. Apart from the distinctive leaf shape and venation, the panicles are larger in Ligustrum gamblei. According to Biotik fruits should be oblong as opposed to obovoid. … plant seems to match with Ligustrum gamblei.
