Cordia crenata:
Recorded in Savarkundla, Amreli in April 2023
Identified by Botanists and Foresters of Gujarat in a whatsapp group then, I cannot name one single person
It gets its name from the leaf margin, crenate in distal half. Though fruits look similar to Cordia gharaf, fruiting calyx margin is lobed

Boraginaceae Week: Cordia dichotoma Forster from Delhi
https://efloraofindia.com/2011/02/19/cordia-dichotoma/?
No Cordia crenata in this page. Almost all are Cordia myxa, only one or two C. dichotoma ….one from Muscat and possibly one from WB Dinajpur . .
To me Cordia myxa and Cordia dichotoma are distinct though I cannot describe the differences if you ask me. One season I had recorded flowers of both and they were different of course. Unripe fruits are used for pickle making and in season (spring) in market it is always fruit of dichotoma, never myxa. Here is a post on fb comparing flowers of the two species
