The species in the thread is not Pavetta indica L.
The species in that thread was Ixora undulata Roxb.
And also the other threads I sent with the title – Ixora undulata Roxb.
Here is the species Pavetta indica L., a wild shrub (it is yet to grow to be a stout shrub) growing along with other wild species like Streblus asper, Suregada multiflora, Cyratia pedata …. etc.

Do you mean Pavetta indica (Rubiaceae), a shrub or small tree with white flowers?

I think it must be Pavetta indica only.

Found across roadside near Chennai in Kanchipuram district.
Shrub around 1 metre in height.

Pavetta indica. In Tamil it’s called Pavattai

Thanks for the research and conforming.  Learned about a new book.
This flora I found in Javadhu hills and Vandalur hills of Tamil nadu very commonly.
But the attached plant was in roadside.

It is Pavetta indica very common in Eastern ghats

As per Request for ID : 290310-AK-3 , Pavetta indica is distributed from Indian Subcontinent to S. China and Pen. Malaysia whereas Pavetta crasscaulis is distributed in West and South India. This is according to Kew.

Tarenna asiatica (L.) Kuntze ex K. Schum. : 13 posts by 9 authors. Attachments (4)

Posting pictures of Tarenna asiatica (L.) Kuntze ex K. Schum. of Rubiaceae.
Could this be any variety of the species?
Tamil Name: Therani
Location: Sathyamangalam RF
Altitude: 300 – 400 MSL
Date: 20 June 2010
Please verify, if this id is wrong.

Its look like a Pavetta sp.
Pl. check Pavetta zeylanica

Pavetta – Flowers 4-merous, style glabrous, exerted and unbranched
Tarenna – Flowers 5-merous, style hairy
Your photos are well matched with Pavetta.

Looks like Pavetta species

In flora Flora of Ceylon the description provided does not match with the plant the main point of controversy of this plant being Tarenna sp is the stigma exerted over a long style. hence this is Pavetta zeylanica as said by …

I am quite sure that the plant you have posted is not that of Tarenna asiatica but again some Pavetta species.
I am attaching a photo slide which clearly shows the difference between the two genus, hope it will help to remove the confusion. Kindly see the attachment
