Verticillasters ± loose, 10 – 15 -flowered; bracts 2 – 4 mm long, shorter or rarely somewhat equal to calyx; corolla 5 – 7 (-8) mm long in C. umbrosum Verticillasters compact, dense, 20 – 30-flowered; bracts 6 -9 mm long, equal or longer than calyx; corolla 7 – 12 (-15) mm long in C. vulgare .

Clinopodium I think it should be Clinopodium vulgare L. as per comparative images and keys at Clinopodium Books and links says elevation for C. vulgare is 2700-3400 whereas for C.umbrosum as 300-3400m. and the sp. is from 1695m. . As such the difference is almost 3500ft. Check keys and observations in efi site. . ID JK 13: 1 image.
