Herb for id from Chakrata:: NS June 03 : 3 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (5).
This lithophytic herb was found from a cliff in Chakrata area in April 2014..
Please help to identify..

Himalayan Incarvillea
Family – Bignoniaceae
It is an beautiful vulnerable threatened plant found only from few localities from Western Himalayas. The plant is facing threat and decline in population due to habitat loss and anthropogenic pressure.
The plants are photographed from one of its few natural habitat at Aut, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh
Here it can be seen growing on dry exposed cliffs of calcareous and sedimentary rocks.

Sharing a few photographs of the rare & threatened Himalayan plant Incarvillea emodi, photographed in the Bilaspur district of H.P. The complete habitat range in the Bilaspur district is threatened by anthropogenic activities. The population count was approximately 15+ small and mature plants. 
Habitat: Open & Dry Rock Slopes
Place: Bilaspur, H.P.
