Shrubs; branchlets silky pubescent. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets elliptic to obovate, 7-4 by 0.5-3 cm, base rounded, apex rounded, truncate, mucronulate, lower surface silky pubescent, lateral veins faint. Racemes terminal, c.7 cm long. Flowers congested; bracts subulate; corolla lilac; stamens 9+1. Pods c. 3 cm long; sparsely pubescent.

Dear friends, please help with ID.
I find … suggestion (in facebook) of Alysicarpus a very good possibility.
This plant is a small bushy shrub about 6 feet high; the flowers measure about 20 mm across.
The place is Gudampara near Chinnakanal, Munnar, elevation about 1500m asl.

It will be Desmodium species

It appears to me it is a Desmodium species

This one is not Alysicarpus Neck ex Desv., But it is Desmodium Desv. and precisely Desmodium ferrugenium Wall. ex Thw.

It is Desmodium ferrugineum Wall. ex Thw. ssp. ferrugineum (Syn: Desmodium polycarpum (Poir. ) DC. var. fischeri Gamble= D.rufescens sensu Wight & Arn. non DC.)
