There are some conflicting accounts of this facet in certain sources; in the Flora of Eastern Ghats by Pullaiah & Rao, B. reinwardtii is described as “not sensitive to touch” while B. sensitivum is “sensitive to touch”. Have attached the key herewith. Many taxonomists are working on dried specimens having no chance of seeing the living plant in the field. Such key has no use in the identification process.
