Thank you for sending the mail & images. So far we have collected three Pandanus species from NE – P. emerginatus, P. nepalensis and P. martinianus. The species pictures sent by you looks different than these species. So it will be interesting to explore further to identify this species.
If you can send me the dried capsules of this fruit/dried fruit or fruit parts, we can help you to get this species identified.
Looking forward for your reply.

We compared with our collections and arrived at following conclusions. – doesn’t match with any of the species collected by us

We received  the following specimens from you:
1. Tall Pandanus – Photographs & fruit parts
2. Dwarf Pandanus – Photographs
We compared with our collections and arrived at following conclusions.
1. Tall Pandanus – doesn’t match with any of the species collected by us
2. Dwarf Pandanus – matches close to Benstones foetida (Benstonea is a new
genus recently added in Pandanaceae; earlier it was Pandanus). For
confirmation we need fruit parts of this species.
We need to explore further to confirm these species. We have contacts with
internationally working World Pandanaceae taxonomists. We can take help
from them for further identification.
We highly appreciate your interest in Pandanaceae !!

This species till yet not identified.

Two sps. are found in Mizoram, viz., Pandanus scortechini Martelli and Pandanus furcatus Roxb..
Fruit shape does not match with Pandanus furcatus Roxb., as such it could be Pandanus scortechini Martelli.
