Strobilanthes dyerianus, the beautiful ornamental grown as foliage plant, rarely flowers/allowed to flower. It was found flowering in Nauni University Campus, Himachal Pradesh, clicked on May 28, 2015. The valid name is as follows: Strobilanthes auriculata var. dyeriana (Mast.) J.R.I. Wood in Kew Bull. 58: 92. 2003. Yes! POWO, GBIF and Col says so ! .

Habit : Cultivated This looks like Strobilanthes auriculata var. dyeriana (Mast.) J.R.I. Wood. It has been treated as a distinct species Strobilanthes dyeriana Mast. but only differs in the leaf markings. It is widely cultivated and was described in the Gardener’s Chronicle from cultivated material. Wild populations of the variety are found in Myanmar and Thailand. Going by the leaves, it appears close to images at Strobilanthes auriculatus var. dyeriana In my opinion it is Strobilanthes auriculatus var. dyeriana . References:
