URARIA PICTA: I think you inadvertantly labeled this as Uraria picta, or attached wrong pictures instead of Uraria. This is not Uraria species. This is one of the Phylolanthaceae members. Possibly Sauropus androgynus, the protein plant. This is Sauropus androgynus. Commonly known as Chukramanicheera in Malayalam. Yes it is Sauropus androgynus. It is also called diabetes cheera.

The plants are harvested for their leaves and so the form is not natural.
Height about 1 metre. pink fruits about 1.5 cm.

Description:
Erect shrub up to 3m tall. Leaves alternate, 2 ranked; lamina 3-5 × 1.5-2.5 cm, ovate-lanceolate, thin. Plants monoecious. Male flowers 1-3 axillary, 4-5 mm across, greenish-white. Perianth disc shaped, 6 fid, feshy; stamens 3, disc incurved at upper part covering anthers with a maroon centre. Female flowers similar to males, disk 0, sepals accrescent in fruit, red. Capsule1-1.2cm across, white, depressed globose.
Habitat & location: Often cultivated. Rare in wild. Photographed at Nellore.
Flowering period: Almost throughout the year.

The sapling I found was a small one, around 2 feet tall. I think It was few months old. Let me know if the photos needs to be taken in a particular manner, or if the stem portion also needs to be captured. Very useful plant for home gardens. The leaves are used as a medicine for coughs and to soothe the lungs, as a tonic, and as a febrifugal to relieve internal fever; they are also used as a vegetable. It does not control diabetes.
