I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on Phlogacanthus (Pl. click on this link in blue colour to see the details). Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in India & nearby areas with details & keys directly or through links as far as possible. It’s quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the accepted names & synonyms taken from other links. Species discussed so far in efloraofindia are given at the bottom of the page in the form of links against Subpages. On clicking them one can see all the details. If someone can provide complete list of Indian species with source references it will be wonderful. I have added list of species in India based on Karthikeyan et al. (2009). Thanks a lot, … I have added a few more links to supplement it. Pl. see.
There has been lot of confusion between names P. thyrsiformis (Roxb. ex Hardw.) Mabb. & Phlogacanthus thyrsiflorus (pl. click).
Could you pl. provide the synonyms of P. thyrsiformis (Roxb. ex Hardw.) Mabb. as per Karthikeyan et al. (2009) ? Phlogacanthus thyrsiformis (Roxb. ex Hardw.) Mabb. = Justicia thyrsiformis Roxb. ex Hardw.
= Justicia thyrsiflorus Roxb.
= Phlogacanthus thyrsiflorus (Roxb.) Nees . Phlogacanthus page with images of species in efloraofindia : 1 post by 1 author.

Pl. see the following link: http://www.slideshare.net/manishverma1217/diversity-and-ethnobotany-of-the-genus-phlogacanthus-nees-in-assam-india I have this paper, and I had sent it to … too, during the discussion on my two Phlogacanthus species. But he could not conclude much from it. For my part, this paper indicates that my unknown red-flowered Phlogacanthus may be Phlogacanthus parvoflorus. Maybe I will put it as that, for now.
