    This herb was found growing in a nursery pot at Panipat. Please help me identify. Looks like an Acanthaceae member. Can it be any Ruellia? Dipteracanthus species, perhaps. This can be Ruellia peninsularis… Was waiting to know the ID.

Ruellia peninsularis, if the id is right.. ID may not be correct. As per my search goes – one book informs Ruellia peninsularis IRose) I.M.Johnst differs from R. californica (Rose) I.M. Johnst. by its glabrous and glutinous (against glandular puberulent leaves) nature. I do not know if it can be some other as well. Thanks, … But … plant seems to match with other sites like:

But the reddish stem of R.peninsularis is not seen here, Sir.
