I remember observing this as ornamental but didn’t know the name. Sanchezia nobilis is from Family Acanthaceae Cultivated as ornamental due to its beautiful colourful bracts, flowers and sometimes leaves too. Acanthaceae Week- sanchezia Sp. for ID- PKA2: Came across this shrub in Mizoram. Could this be “Sanchezia Parvibracteata“?

Spread as much Colour pale yellow with green viens Leaves 20-30cmx8-12cm Revers paler in colour Stems pale green its the same one with the close up you submitted today and a few days ago Its Sanchezia nobilis a popular tropical yellow and green foliage plant. i have yet to see flowers on one in Kolkata

In my photo flowers are not open. So I happened to match it with photos on net. My identification is a guess. I am open and accept correction. Recently I have seen Sanchezia plant where flowers are open. Attachments (1)
