I Hope the plant in the attached photo Carissa carandus. In bengali its called “karamcha”. its used to make chutney.

not Carissa carandus for sure.. it is a privkly shrud, with branched prickles. leaves leathery and glabrous. fruits ripening black and globose.

Carissa carandus is completely different.

to me it looks like Olea glandulifera. http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=5&taxon_id=230003922
Pl check & let us know. Thanks.

The second plant uploaded by … is Viburnum punctatum.

The Plant matches with Olea paniculata R. Br.
[syn: Olea glandulifera Wall. ex G. Don] Tamil name: Perum oungu

Could this be Viburnum punctatum of Caprifoliaceae?

it may be Viburnum punctatum Buch.-Ham. ex D. Don

To me it looks like some Icacinaceae member! Pl check!

Not Carissa. Likely Oleaceae due to opposite leaves.

I agree with … id.

Looks like a species of Premna

looks like Viburnum of Caprifoliaceae

Sorry, I could not get match for Premna and Viburnum.

It is not Premna because the corolla is united, 2-lipped, stamens 4. the flower is of perfect caprifoliaceae family.

Looks like a species of Ehretia, Boraginaceae.

Also does not appears to match with any species reported from Nepal as per comparative images available at Ehretia

Also does not seem to match with any species of Premna or Viburnum

ID of this so far has stamped us. But it seems to me from Boraginaceae as suggested earlier by …

It is a species of Viburnum

Thank you … for the lead. I guess it could be Viburnum punctatum Buch.-Ham. ex D.Don. Please validate.

I think you are right as per images and details at Viburnum punctatum
