Habitat- Garden/ Urban/ Wild/ Type- Wild, Eastern Ghats moist deciduous forest

Plant Habit- Tree/ Shrub/ Climber/ Herb-  Herb, seen along road

Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size- as seen in photo

Inflorescence Type/ Size- as seen in the photo

Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts- spathe green, spadix creamish-white

Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds- not seen

Occurance- common

Some Colocasia species?

To me, this is Apoballis rupestris (Zoll. & Moritzi ex Zoll.) S.Y.Wong & P.C.Boyce.

It is Apoballis rupestris NOT Colocasia. I have got both species at home.

Only Alocasia fallax was recorded in the Flora of the Lushai Hills. Sorry ! I don’t have Flora of Mizoram vol. 3 for checking. I think it is A.acuminata
