The only way to distinguish between the two is by digging up the plants. In C. borivilianum the tuber touches the stem whereas in C. tuberosum they are attached to the root fibres

Is this C. tuberosum?


According to Dr. Almeida most of the species found in the BNP are C. borivalianum. However, please check this link : Google Groups

I will assume this to be Chlorophytum borivalianum. Next time I come across it, I will try to l look for the tubers. However, I feel it is criminal to dig out such beautiful looking flowers 🙁
