Flower looks somewhat different from oppositifolia


As far as I know, Impatiens oppositifolia occurs only in the northern parts of Western Ghats and your plant is certainly not I. oppositifolia. Some one who is familiar with North Indian Impatiens may help in its identification. You may refer to Flora of Meghalaya.


Recently I am in contact with …, who is working on floristic and taxonomic problems of Arunachal Pradesh.
Our common opinion is that this plant is most probably I. benthamii Steenis.
