This beautiful Balsam was recorded from near Cherrapunji (Meghalaya) in June 2017…

which Impatiens ? Shrub seen in Meghalay-id pl

This one looks like Impatiens bracteata, if these fimbriate things are part of it.

Colour pattern is similar like in old drawing and most features and distribution are like in descriptions in floras.
It is however described as annual plant, not shrub.

I had seen this particular Impatiens sp. at Sohra Forest (Cherapunjee) during November-2008.
While i was trekking towards “Double Decker Living Root Bridge” (Nonigrat village) i came across this small herb.
Hoping to get some lead…

Beautiful… However I don’t have any clue about the species.
What regional floras said about this one?

I am rather sure that it is Impatiens bracteata.
