Please help to id this medium sized tree found commonly in the deciduous forests of Satyamangalam RF in TN.
Leaves are 3-nerved and alternate; mature fruits orange in colour and fruit size not exceeding 1.5cm across.

I don’t know, but foliage shape and veination suggests Zizyphus or some other Rhamnaceae.
… Ken’s hint tempts me to suggest Ziziphus caracutta (a small tree) … not sure of fruit colour … think it ripens to black, in Tamil lnown as கொட்டையிலந்தை kottai-y-ilantai Could be Zizyphus caracutta This appears to be close to Ziziphus incurva Roxb. as per images and details herein. It is Celtis sp. Never to be a species of Ziziphus.
