Many thanks  … for the suggestion of Leycesteria glaucophylla.

However, I have found it on eflora china where it says “Berry yellow-green”
So sadly I feel this still remains unsolved.

Following my thrilling id of Lecesteria stipulata, last night, I found a pic of the berries on www. for it.
Sadly I cannot add the link as it must be a private image.
But I did notice that the berries in pic had a sort of coronet on the end.
Just like the berries here!
So I set to and did a bit more research.
I now believe I have another Leycesteria…. Leycesteria gracilis.
eflora mentions the lack of stipules. With berries that are red turning blue purple!
Coincidentally the 2nd link has a botanical drawing… which shares the page with the Leycesteria stipulata.
You are right once again! Jackpot!
Yes, I absolutely agree with the id L. gracilis. Here is a fruiting specimen looking similar to your plant http://gardenbreizh.org/photos/karlostachys/photo-214354.html.
I truly appreciate your perceptive observation and tenacity!

I searched to my capacity, capacity of a beginner, and found this maybe some member of Caprifoliaceae, barring colour the fruits look like the one at –http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Leycesteria_formosa1.jpg

It is Leycesteria formosa of Caprifoliaceae. It is very common in Neora Velley National Park, may be around Aluabari and upto Jopokhri at the top.

Leycestria formosana is a very common shrub in UK. I have never seen it without the bigpuple coloured bracts that come with the flowers and remain on the plant with the berries.

Does it do something very different in Nepal?
