Climbing shrub with hooks.Wild in dry slopes.
Altitude 250m, fruiting, vegetative twigs resembles Salacia spp

Happy to see it. The correct application of the generic name is still under considerable research.

Please help me with maaderi balli OR madheri balli, name given for Loeseneriella arnottiana in Kannada.
Could it be
1) ಮಾಡೆರಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿ / ಮಾಢೆರಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿ / ಮಾದೆರಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿ / ಮಾಧೆರಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿ
there could be other permutation / combinations.
Knowing the valid spelling will help.
Name for Reissantia indica syn. of Pristimera indica
is based on name of
dodda maderi balli … that is, larger loeseneriella, due to its close resemblance with Loeseneriella arnottiana .

For me it looks ಮಾದೆರಿ ಬಳ್ಳಿ  is correct. Can you please provide the link(s) wherein these names have been mentioned so that I can check again.

Please identify this climber from Kannur district of Kerala. No flowers are seen. Stem is hard, leaves coriaceous. Morphological details lead to Salacia, but not sure. 11/08/21
