Erect herbs, to 40 cm high. Leaves 10-15 x 7 cm, elliptic, obtuse, crenate, sessile; upper leaves acute. Panicles 25 cm across, spreading; pedicels 5 mm long. Flowers many; sepals 6 x 1 mm, lanceolate, connate at base; corolla tube 1 cm long, lobes 5 x 3 mm, ovate, cuspidate, yellow; filaments 2.5 cm long, attached on the middle of corolla tube; anthers orbicular; ovaries 5 mm long; style 3 mm long, glabrous.

Kindly identify this specimen. Could this be Kalanchoe bhidei (Crassulaceae)….?

Habit: Succulent herb 

Habitat: Wild, Occurring in wastelands by the roadside. 

Sighting: Chikmagalur, Karnataka, about 900 msl

You are right in thinking it to be Kalanchoe bhidei T.Cooke., an endemic species.
