Vines. Leaves deeply 3-5 lobed, to 5 x 6 cm, ovate, acute, base cordate, crenulate, scabrous above; petiole to 6 cm. Flowers unisexual, 2 mm across; male flowers in axillary racemes, to 1 cm; bracts 1 x 2 cm, stipuliform, ovate, ciliate; calyx lobes 1 mm; stamens 3, female flowers – ovary globose, 4 mm across.
