Long leaf in Dioscorea bulbifera ?

Could be but not sure! Images not so good.

I may be an optical illusion being side views. would be nice to have some enface views

It was also on a edge of the road beyond reach !

oh

I also more inclined towards it after going through comparative images and other closely related species. Leaf venation and aerial bulbils appear close.
Flora of China states that leaves alternate, simple; petiole 2.5–5.5 cm; leaf blade broadly cordate, 8–15(–26) × 2–14(–26) cm, glabrous, margin entire or slightly undulate, apex caudate-acuminate.
Flora of Pakistan states that leaves alternate, 4-5 cm long, 2.5-13.5 cm broad, ovate, more or less deeply cordate at the base, long acuminate, 9-nerved, petiole 2.5-12 cm long.
GBIF gives 8017 occurrences (showing how common it is).

Also check the following species as per keys in Flora of Pakistan:
2 (1) Stem twining anticlockwise. Leaves opposite Dioscorea belophylla
+ Stem twining clockwise. Leaves alternate (3)
3 (2) Leaves glabrous on both sides. Female spikes in clusters, many flowered. Capsule longer than broad. Seeds winged at the base Dioscorea bulbifera
+ Leaves glabrous above, pubescent along the veins and the veinules beneath. Female spikes solitary few-flowered. Capsule broader than long. Seeds Winged all round Dioscorea deltoidea
Leaves appears to be opposite ? is it so ? If so, pl. check Dioscorea belophylla

Yes, opposite leaves. … is exactly on the mark.

I guess … is right and listed in Nepal !

Dioscorea bulbifera L. ?

Yes, I agree with Dioscorea bulbifera

Leaf base is creating doubt in my mind as per images at Dioscorea bulbifera

I checked that too but the flowers do not look like matching !

I also checked

Any other possibilty?

What are the species listed from your area?

I think this is Dioscorea belophylla (Prain) Voigt ex Haines as per images and details herein and as per FoP illustration

I guess you are right

I am not sure. There appear to be more than one or two female flower spikes in the leaf axils here.
