in bengal, ethnomedicine claims its leaf juice is an elixir in liver disorders esp. hepatitis leading to jaundice. folks tend to look after a spontaneously sprouting gachh with care. Thank you ma’am, yes, this plant was growing in the same stone pot as tulsi gida (Ocimum sanctum) but nobody had pulled it out.

. Santali names of Cajanus cajan (L.) Huth: I’m very sorry for the very wrong information. ᱵᱟᱲᱮ means Banyan tree (https://sat.wikipedia.org/wiki/B1%AE).. The source has some errors. Instead after asking my family members and some native people they said correct word for Cajanus cajan will be Ghangra (ᱜᱷᱟᱝᱜᱽᱨᱟ) and not bare.
In the book for Cajanus Indicus, it is written raher whose transcription shall be ᱨᱟᱦᱮᱨ
