Nice pictures! It may be Crotalaria semperflorens, pl check.

Thanks, …, for the Id.
The following sources give Crotalaria semperflorens Vent. as a syn. of Crotalaria verrucosa L. although flower colour is different.
As per keys at An Excursion Flora of Central Tamilnadu, India, both are quite close with colour difference in their flowers.
This may pl. be clarified/ confirmed.

Pl. see images at Crotalaria verrucosa

I think both the species are distinct. I would follow Gamble’s and Fr. Matthew’s treatments.
Crotalaria semperflorens is a high altitude, W.Ghats element, whereas C. verrucosa is a common weed in the plains. Besides, they differ in many of their morphological features, not just flower color. It would be interesting to study (anatomy, molecular study, etc.) further about this group, and also to see if any intermediate forms have been recorded.

Considering the updates of … post of Crotalaria from Ootty, this plant also would be C. spectabilis, I think. It is now understood that this plant shows much variation from place to place and at different altitude.

Please put further clarification, if any.

Thanks … for suggesting this ID.

However, Crotalaria semperflorens Vent. is treated as synonym of C. verrucosa (with full confidence) at The Plants List.

Thanks, … Pl. see discussion at Regarding Request for Species ID.

Thanks …, I will label the posted plant photos with Crotalaria semperflorens Vent.

Please reconsider … id of Crotalaria spectabilis.
You may also have to correct it in the efi website

Thanks, … I have reconsidered it.
It is only Crotalaria semperflorens Vent. & not Crotalaria spectabilis as per images herein. Pl. check the fruits & calyx therein.
