Indigofera species ?. Pl. check comparative images at Indigofera Most probably Its Desmodium sp. Looks like Desmodium sp. to me too. Thanks for sharing … The pendulous raceme is interesting, and could be distinct enough character to point to a species. It should be Desmodium concinnum DC. as per images herein. I also think close to images at Desmodium concinnum DC. I think Desmodium multiflorum…. from Dalhousie, altitude 2100 mts, season September I hope your last photograph and your identification helped us to solve identity of our plant from Chakrata which we thought to be D. laxiflorum based on one uploaded by … I think your identification is correct. I think id is Ok as Desmodium multiflorum DC. On further checking, I think it is more closer to Desmodium concinnum
Thanks, … for pointing out.

A guess though….as … had shown us similar blue flowered climber near Tata office Mulshi but I don’thave close up pictures. You can check my earlier pictures searching for the plant name in Search mail. Desmodium sp., may be D. heterocarpon. Hats off to you …, sitting in US and identifying the plants of w. ghats! This is D. heterocerpon.
I think it appears to be more closer to Desmodium concinnum DC. rather than those at Desmodium heterocarpon (L.) DC. Leaves would have settled the issue.
