Dysolobium grande (Benth.) Prain (Syn: Canavalia grandis (Benth.) Kurz; Mucuna chienkweiensis G.Z.Li; Phaseolus grandis Benth.; Phaseolus velutinus Baker); Fabaceae sp. from Meghalaya KD 19 Nov : 8 posts by 4 authors. Attachments (9). Attached images are sp. of Fabaceae. Please ID the plant. Date :01.11.2014 Location: North Garo Hill, Meghalaya Family : Fabaceae Genus & species : ?? Habitat: Grows wild hilly forest area. Habit : Climber Snail vine vigna caracalla i think some body showed this here not too long ago but I cant find it under vigna caracalla… is there under some synonym ? i wonder Vigna – species in eFIoraofindia (with details/ keys from published papers/ regional floras/ FRLHT/ FOI/ efloras/ books etc., where ever available) Possibly Dysolobium, cf. D.grande Prain i dont know … and your link is all in chinese or some such dont know what it says Yes, the link i have provided is troublesome, i give you another link, though still chinese – http://www.cfh.ac.cn/spdb/TaxonNodeTree.aspx?spid=23361 and a KEW herbarium of the species – http://apps.kew.org/herbcat/getImage.do?imageBarcode=K000900620. The genus Phaseolus, in FBI, is featured with twisted/spiral keel and thus separated from Vigna. Sir Prain redefined Phaseolus velutinus of FBI as Dysolobium grande. There are two Vigna caracalla as far as my search goes – one is Vigna adenantha (G.Mey.) Marechal & al., which I targeted first, but has glabrous pods; and the other is Vigna caracalla (L.) Verdc., where pods are much narrow as per pictures found in the net, and I have doubt over its distribution in NE India. Thank you … you are thorough but this is beyond my capacity some botanists expert in vigna / beans need to look at this SK 2644 30 June 2020 : 5 posts by 2 authors. 3 images- 6 to 7 mb each. Location: Latha Bhanjyang Date: 20 June 2020 Elevation: 2114m. Habitat: Wild Any possibility to ID with these leaves?? Pl. check comparative images at Fabaceae, if by chance you get a match. Leaf venation seams to match with Dysolobium grande (Benth.) Prain Flora of China mentions its distribution in Nepal. References: The Plant List Ver.1.1 |
