This interesting Bauhinia was my first sighting, recorded from Botanical Garden of Forest Research Institute, Dehradun.. this was very profusely flowering as well as entangling a tree.. I was lucky to have a flowering twig nearby for an otherwise very high up open inflorescnece.. Wanted to share.. Location: Palpa Deurali, Palpa, Nepal Date: 30 May 2023 Elevation: 838 m. Habit : Wild Syn : Bauhinia scandens L. Very difficult to tell. Compare with Phanera khasiana too. Just a guess. It has got no distribution in Nepal ! Then no chance of P. khasiana. Can be P. scandens but without mature stem which are serpentine in shape, and flowers or fruits it is very difficult to confirm the identity.
