Lender glabrous annual herb; leaves pinnate, 2-3 cm long with 6-12 oblong 6-12 mm long sensitive leaflets; stipules 6-8 mm long; flowers pale blue or white, 10-13 mm long, crowded in stalked axillary one-sided racemes; bract stipule-like; calyx 4-8 mm long with densely setose margin, divided almost to base; corolla slightly longer than calyx, standard obovate, wings and keel smaller; pod flattened, 6-8 jointed.

This small legume from Mussoorie Chakrata Road near Barakkhai
Height: up to 20 cm
pinnate leaves with 9-11 leaflets, which are oblong and entire
flowers in one-sided clusters with large calyx hispid-ciliate especially along margin;
corolla white scarcely emerging.
Is it a Smithea?
Thanks a lot … Smithia ciliata is reported in Flora Simlensis and matches the description. Here is the link which confirms identification

Some pics are attached of unknown legume collected from NEHU campus, Shillong. Kinldy help me to identify this legume from root Nodules it appears to be belongs to tribe Dalbergie in which Aeschynomene comes. But looking to flower it is neither Aeschynomene indica nor Aeschynomene americana.

Kindly find the low pixel pic of unknown legume collected from Shillong-NEHU. The leaves are like Aeschynomene but pods, inflorescence and flowers are not like that. But definitely it belongs to Tribe Dalbergeae according to root nodule patterns. See attached pics. As … guessed if it is species of Smithia? Smithia flowers are yellow but I don’t know if pink or so as it is in pic. Kindly see black arrow in filed view. You just enlarge and see.

Thank you very much … The taxonomic characters match with the Smithia ciliata. The leaves are sensitive that I confirmed. Nodule pic is strong evidence of thsi plant belongs to tribe Dalbergeae. Once again Thanks for the same. I have some more pics of legumes where I have some doubt. You also kept pic of legume nodules with your taxonomic characters and album.
