Bushy herb up to 2 m tall, much branches, tomentose; leaves elliptic-oblong, up to 15 cm long, almost sessile to shortly petiolate (less than 5 mm long), serrate-crenate, pubescent; flowers creamish-white to nearly greenish, on slender terminal or lateral spikes up to 20 cm long, forming panicles; bracts linear-elliptic, 3 mm long; stamens exserted; nutlets pale brown, 1.2 mm long.
