Requesting to please ID this plant captured in the Ooty Botanical Gardens, Ooty in November 2013.

This plant belongs to Rubiaceae. But I am unable to identify it. Being cultivated in Ooty Botanical Garden, it may be an introduced garden plant. The garden authorities may probably be able provide the identity.

Can this be Fuchsia arborescens?
TopTropicals Fuchsia arborescens.

My initial guess was also Pavetta-like ornamental, (Rubiaceae).

But … suggestion of Fuchsia arborescens seems very likely.
The flower and inflorescence structure in the first and second pictures show the two layers of 4-merous perianth, narrow corolla tube and a calyx/ hypanthium similar to the common garden species Fuchsia
Also closely matched to the image of F. arborescens linked below:
Thanks for the introduction to this species from Ooty BG.

Nilgiris :: Rubiaceae for identification 180114MK01 : 5 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (5).
Please help me in identifying this Rubiaceae shrub. I saw this roadside, near a private property.
… also posted the same plant in our group for identification.
Height: 1.5 metre
Leaf: 15 cm long; 3 leafs in a node
Date: 06 January 2014
Place: Ooty town, Nilgiris
Alt.: c. 2000 m asl

This is closely related to the genus Palicourea of the Rubiaceae, I suppose. More  suggestions are invited from our learned community…

Fuchsia arborescens as per thread herein.

Many thanks … for the identification. I got misled by the interpetiolar stipule and now I know it is Fuchsia of Onagraceae.
