As raceme is long, I feel it may be Polygala elongata Klein ex Willd. (syn. of Polygala glaucoides L.) Also lateral petal seems to be obovate as in this species and not orbicular as in Polygala arvensis Willd.

Came across this Polygala sp. on the way to Prabalgad.
Leaves seems to be linear oblong with a sharp point at the apex.

I too had come across one similar type of herb at “Galana Fort” in Dhule region. I am enclosing my photographs. I am not too sure, but just trying to recollect that  some one mentioning that this could be some sp. of “polygala”. may be Polygala elongata.  Our friends can comment on this..

… few months back I had queried for a plant similar to this one, which I had found growing in a untended lawn. The flowers just about 3 – 4 mm would hardly remain over an hour.

There is quite a lot of confusion between Polygala elongata Klein ex Willd. and Polygala arvensis Willd. as both species appear to be quite close.

Thanks, … But Polygala glomerata (syn: P. chinensis) is different as per images and details herein.
Now I am sure of its id as Polygala glaucoides (syn: Polygala elongata Klein ex Willd.) as per images and details herein. 


yes it is Polygala elongata Klein ex Willd. it is very common here in E.ghats
