Re: Spiraea prunifolia Sieb. & Zucc. var. prunifolia from Kashmir–A case of when you forget and then recollect: no images. “A deciduous shrub with slender branches, 2-5 cm long denticulate leaves, flowers white, double in sessile umbels”
and I knew, I had my plant. The plant was originally recognised as Spiraea prunifolia var. plena Schneid., but is now considered merely as type variety. I had compiled this paper in 1975 published only in 1983, as I had left for Delhi in 1975.

I am also enclosing the paper so that any one visiting Kashmir may be benefitted. . For ID 21052012CS1: I have yet to identify this one, was already drying when I clicked it. Could it be any Spiraea sp.? As in – http://www.florum.fr/img/S/4/5/2494-Spiraea-hypericifolia.jpg or in http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1435/#b ?
I think none of these … This one has double flowers almost globose in shape. I am attaching one more image of the same I hope Spiraea prunifolia .
